CORPUS CHRISTI
June 22
Corpus Christi, also known as the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, is a Christian liturgical solemnity celebrating the real presence of the body and blood of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. It is traditionally observed on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday or, in some places, on the following Sunday. The feast was established in the 13th century and is marked by processions, special Masses, and Eucharistic adoration. The processions often involve the carrying of the Blessed Sacrament through the streets, symbolizing Jesus’ journey through the world and His presence among His people.
